Self-cleaning, weather-resistant stadium roofs. Self-lubricating bearings. Non-stick frying pans. 3M™ Dyneon™ PTFE has become an indispensable material for an ever-widening array of applications – including automotive components, architectural membranes and, yes, cookware.

PTFE helps protect equipment in extremely demanding operating conditions. Typical applications include seals, bearings, tubing, fibers, and coatings for woven fiberglass cloth. 3M PTFE can even be used as an additive to improve slip or wear characteristics in ink, plastics and lubricants.

We offer a wide portfolio of dispersions, fine powders, granular products, micropowders, and custom compounds – giving you design and process flexibility. In addition, our technical experts can help you optimize 3M PTFE materials for your application and manufacturing process.

    3M™ Dyneon™ TFM™ PTFE

    Engineered for improved performance and design flexibility, 3M™ Dyneon™ TFM™ PTFE features a unique chemistry with a denser polymer structure. Its improved properties over standard PTFE allow for new design possibilities, processing options and applications. The use of  3M TFM PTFE in seals, gaskets and components for valves, pumps and manufacturing equipment helps extend service life, improve reliability, reduce downtime – and increase productivity.
