Our 21 solar panels are in – very exciting! Going “net zero” has been a dream of ours since we first built our home six years ago – especially given where we live and work. We were able to use local companies and install panels that include 3M components and were manufactured right here in Minnesota.

During our install tests, it was fun watching my husband and son go around the house with the energy app from the installer and turn switches on and off to see how much energy various light switches, appliances and other things used. I’m sure once we have the system running our behaviors will all change because we will see the impact we are making. We might be living in the dark soon!
