The last few weeks have been a time for celebrating. The 3M Innovation Center – where we showcase the breadth and depth of our technologies in some pretty cool ways – hosted its 10,000th tour. That’s 10,000 tours in less than nine years for everyone from visiting dignitaries to customers to prospective employees. It’s a great place to tell the 3M story.
Another celebration was for the 35th service anniversary of one of my coworkers. In both cases, the people involved could hardly believe everything they’d been a part of – even as they still felt excited about all the opportunities to come. I think what an organization chooses to celebrate provides a unique insight into its values. In this case, you might say it’s a solid past, a bright future and the people who are responsible for both.
